The curriculum provided by schools in St Hilda's Moorland Federation is engaging, high quality, inclusive and aspirational and is firmly underpinned by our VISION STATEMENT.  We believe our children are well supported in their learning enabling them to 'live life to the full'.

Our staff work across 4 Esk Valley Core Curriculum Schools as subject co-ordinators for Foundation Subjects. We have a shared curriculum plan over a four year rolling programme which enables us to share good practice, resources, trips and outings and provides an excellent broad and balanced education for our children.  Our curriculum recognises the wealth of opportunities provided by our local area as well as recognising those areas that are challenging due to our locality.

Curriculum Policy

Reading and Phonics

We use Read Write Inc. as our Phonics and Early Reading Scheme.

We use Oxford Reading Tree as our main reading scheme KS2.
